Where even the beautiful Naomi foraged to the samba rhythm
Giorgio Armani
got out of the shop with six ancient silver plated egg-holders and some candles for an on-board dinner, Gianni Mazza, a famous Italian music master, goes there to listen to argentinian tangos and brazilian sambas, while looking to ancient nautical maps. The broken necklace of  the show-woman Barbara D’Urso ends-up there to be restored, at “Taba”, half workshop half emporium, which carries the style of the colonial curiosities anglo-saxon shop to the heart of the Borbonian Island of Ponza. Christian De Sica, Vittorio’s son, bought some tie-holders from the 20’s and Gigi Proietti, a famous roman actor, chose a compass and two hand sawn bags.
She, Paola Ciuffo, holds Argentina in her heart, and her partner, Carlo Alberto Allevato, is Argentinian (by now Italian for his love for Ponza): “Caroline of Monaco, bought some little ceramic turtles for her daughters” they recall “Naomi Campbell drifted for half an hour between our vintage dresses. She ran away to stop the crowd who was about to destroy the shop”. Further more: “Valentino came with his court of models and bought them several straw and fabric bags, Sabina Guzzanti, a famous Italian show-woman, picked up a turquoise pareo and Eva Robin, the most famous Italian drag queen, chose a dress from the 70’s.
